With an ever-increasing need for petroleum-based products, our dependence on petroleum feedstocks is unsustainable, not least from an environmental standpoint. And while the bio-based industry seeks to develop and commercialize alternative as well as drop-in products, conversion to a more sustainable alternative to fossil fuel based raw materials is slow to materialize as seemingly insurmountable challenges arise.
Organized by the DE Sustainable Chemistry Alliance (DESCA) and supported by the American Chemical Society Green Chemistry Institute and held annually, the Bio-Based & Renewable Chemicals Conference, brings together government, industry and academic experts to discuss the emerging landscape of bridging technologies that are replacing fossil fuel based raw materials and address the major challenges and opportunities facing the industry.
The event features keynote speakers and interactive panel discussions with thought leaders as they experiences, thoughts, strategies and resources to help innovators and researchers address the challenges facing the bio-based industry and bring new technologies to market.
